Open Social Network

Your social graph,
your control.

OSN decouples your identity and relationships from the apps that use them. Own your connections, set your rules once, and switch on only the apps you want — they never get to keep your graph.

Why OSN

The graph is yours. The apps are guests.

On most platforms, the company owns your connections — and every app you touch tries to rebuild that web from scratch, then keep it. Your relationships end up scattered, duplicated, and locked inside products you can’t leave.

OSN flips that. Your identity and your social graph live with you. Apps opt in to the slice you grant them and nothing more. Block someone once and it propagates everywhere — unless you decide otherwise.

What you get

Built around you, not your data.

  • Own your social graph

Connections, close friends and blocks live with your identity, not an app. Block someone once and it applies everywhere — unless you choose otherwise.

  • One identity, many profiles

A single login, multiple public handles. Keep work, friends and the things you love in separate profiles — all under one account you control.

  • Apps opt in, and out

Each capability is a standalone app. Switch on events or messaging when you want them; turn them off and your graph is untouched.

  • Privacy by design

End-to-end encrypted messaging over the Signal protocol, granular visibility controls, and hidden-attendance options for events.

  • Passwordless and secure

Passkey-only sign-in (WebAuthn / FIDO2), recovery codes for lost devices, per-device session management and step-up auth for sensitive actions.

  • Data you can see

All personalisation data is accessible to you and resettable at any time. No black-box profiles built behind your back.

How it works

Three steps to a social life you own.

  1. 01

    Own your identity

Create one account with a passkey — no passwords. It becomes your OIDC identity across the whole ecosystem, with recovery codes and per-device sessions you control.

  2. 02

    Build your connections

Add connections and close friends, set visibility, block who you want. Your social graph lives here — portable, consistent, and yours.

  3. 03

Switch on the apps you want

Opt into Pulse for events or Zap for secure messaging — each independently. They read only the slice of your graph you grant, and never keep it.

The ecosystem

One graph. Many apps. All opt-in.

Each app stands alone and connects to your OSN identity independently. Use what you want, ignore what you don’t — your social graph stays the same underneath.

Events

Pulse

Discover what’s happening near you, RSVP, and run your own events — with venue pages, group chats, calendar export and hidden-attendance options for private gatherings.

Messaging

Zap

Playful, end-to-end encrypted messaging over the Signal protocol — DMs, groups and event chats — that doubles as the ecosystem’s identity-aware support and announcements channel.

Wedding invites

Cire

Bespoke digital wedding invitations: guests open a link and RSVP with no account, while every reply is tracked for the couple. Built on OSN, usable on its own.

Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

What is OSN?

OSN is an open, modular social platform. It separates your identity and social graph from the apps that use them, so you own your connections and decide which apps get access — instead of each app owning a copy of your social life.

Do I need to use every app?

No. Each app — events (Pulse), messaging (Zap), and others — is independent and opt-in. Turn on what you want, leave the rest. Your identity and graph stay the same underneath.

Who controls my data?

You do. Your social graph lives with your identity, all personalisation data is accessible and resettable, and apps only see the slice you grant them. We don’t sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Is it open source?

Yes — OSN is open by design, built on open standards including an OAuth / OIDC provider for third-party integrations, with self-hosting planned for enterprise use.

How do I sign in?

With a passkey — no passwords. OSN uses passkey-only primary login (WebAuthn / FIDO2), backed by recovery codes for lost devices, per-device session management, and step-up authentication for sensitive actions.

Take back your social graph

Your network. Your rules.

Create your identity once, keep your connections for good, and bring only the apps you want along for the ride.
